- 1 scrub turkey (a protected native Australian bird about the size of a rooster)
- 1 mossy rock (rinsed and cleaned).
- 2 litres of mountain stream water.
- Bring the water to the boil.
- Add the rock and the turkey.
- Boil vigorously for at least 2 to 3 hours.
- When the rock is tender, discard the turkey, and serve the soup piping hot.
